The theme of the EGPA Spring Workshop is "Rethinking Public Sector Financial Management: Public Value and Other Challenges for Accounting Studies (in the Aftermaths of COVID-19)".

Dear PSAAR friends,

On 21-23 September 2022, the 16th CIGAR Workshop will be held in Germany in Berlin. Starting with the PhD Colloquium and closing with the IPSASB Research Forum on Friday 23rd, in the afternoon. The theme of the CIGAR Workshop will be “Educating for Institutional Change in Public Sector Accounting?” and will therefore focus on public sector accounting education (PSAE).  The organising committee of the workshop comprises Berit Adam, Jens Heiling, Nicole KüchlerStahn and John Siegel.

We would like to draw your attention to a special edition of Public Money and Management on ‘Local public audit and accountability: an international and public value perspective’ which is aimed for publication in early/mid 2023. The edition aims to link research, policy and practice at a key time for local public audit development in many states, enabling policy development to be informed by up to date international research.
